How remote delivery works, day to day
The first worry when hiring a team abroad is simple: will I know what is happening on my project? Our answer is a routine you can check on any day.
Time zones: most of the day is shared
Dubai runs on Gulf Standard Time (GMT+4) all year. Cairo is two hours behind in winter and one hour behind during Egypt's summer daylight-saving months, so a 9:00 start in Cairo is 10:00 or 11:00 in Dubai. Most UAE businesses work Monday to Friday and Cairo works Sunday to Thursday, so Monday to Thursday are fully shared, and we agree in the scope how urgent Friday issues are covered.
Communication: WhatsApp and video calls
We talk daily on WhatsApp with the person who owns the project on your side, so questions don't wait for a meeting, and we hold regular video calls to show finished work on screen. Decisions that change the scope are added to the scope document, so nothing depends on anyone's memory.
A staging environment you test yourself
Each stage is deployed to a staging environment, separate from your live data. Your team opens it in a browser or on a phone and runs the full cycle: create an order, approve it, issue the invoice, check the report. Feedback is fixed before the stage goes live.
Milestone payments tied to deliveries
Every payment is linked to something you can open and try. Payments tied to dates hide delays until it is too late; payments tied to deliveries expose problems at the first stage. You don't pay for promises, and we don't build on assumptions you haven't reviewed.

Mizan covers journals, invoicing, purchasing, inventory and financial reports, with the VAT rate as a company setting. It is not integrated with any UAE e-invoicing system, and we say so before you sign.

What to plan for in the UAE
A system for the UAE has requirements a generic product often misses. We write them into the scope document on day one, so they don't surface after launch as extra cost.
Arabic and English, both done properly
Your staff, customers and suppliers may each prefer a different language. Bilingual means more than translated labels: right-to-left tables and forms, number and date formats, and invoices that read correctly in both languages. We plan both from the start.
VAT at 5% and e-invoicing
If the system issues tax invoices, VAT at 5% is a core scope item: the invoice fields, zero-rated and exempt items, and a tax report that matches the invoices. The UAE has also announced a phased e-invoicing programme; whether and when it applies to you is a question for your tax adviser. If it does, the scope document records what we build and where an accredited service provider is needed. We are not accredited by the Federal Tax Authority or the Ministry of Finance, and we do not sell a certified e-invoicing product.
Local payment gateways
If your project takes payments, the gateway is an integration item we define with you: which provider holds your merchant account, and which payment methods your customers expect. Every integration is written into the scope and tested on staging before launch.
Hosting, data and the small details
Where your data is hosted is decided at the start, especially if your sector has data rules, and the hosting and domain are always in your name. Small details matter too: UAE mobile number formats, AED rounding on printed documents, and roles for teams split across emirates.

If your project needs e-invoicing, we scope it with your tax adviser and identify where an accredited service provider is needed.
Do you handle UAE VAT at 5%?
VAT goes into the scope of any system that issues invoices: the 5% rate, the invoice fields, and a tax report that matches the invoices, following the rules your tax adviser confirms. In Mizan, our accounting product, the VAT rate is a company setting.
Who owns the code after delivery?
You do. The contract states that the code, the database, the domain and the hosting are all in your name.

We don't give a final price before the scope document, because any number before it is a guess. We write down the screens, roles, rules and integrations first, then price the work and split payments across deliveries you can test.
